Was ist die Besonderheit der dualen Zertifizierung (Ex + SIL1)?

Der F3 Ex SIL1 erfüllt gleichzeitig zwei hohe Standards: ATEX-Eigensicherheit (Ex ic, Explosionsschutz) und exida SIL1-Zertifizierung nach IEC 61508 (Funktionale Sicherheit). Dies ermöglicht Einsatz in sicherheitskritischen Ex-Anwendungen wie Wasserstoffumgebungen und Batterieräumen.

Darf der F3 Ex SIL1 in Zone 1 eingesetzt werden?

Ja. Der F3 Ex SIL1 ist als Kategorie 2G EPL Gb klassifiziert und damit für Zone 1 geeignet. In eigensicheren Stromkreisen (mit Zener-Barrieren der NLSW®45-3 Ex SIL1) kann er direkt in Zone 1 installiert werden – nicht nur in Zone 2.

Was ist der Unterschied zu F3 Ex ohne SIL1?

F3 Ex ist nur ATEX-zertifiziert, ohne SIL-Klassifizierung (reiner Explosionsschutz). F3 Ex SIL1 kombiniert ATEX + exida SIL1 (Performance Level c), was Funktionale Sicherheit garantiert. Notwendig für sicherheitskritische Prozesse.

Was bedeutet "Performance Level c"?

PL c nach EN ISO 13849-1 ist äquivalent zu SIL1. Es bedeutet: Fehler werden mit hoher Zuverlässigkeit erkannt, bevor sie zu gefährlichen Zuständen führen. Geeignet für Prozesse mit mittleren Sicherheitsanforderungen.

Welche Zener-Barrieren sind erforderlich?

Zwei spezifische Zener-Barrieren (z.B. SZB7601 und SZB7602) sind im Lieferumfang der NLSW®45-3 Ex SIL1 Auswerteeinheit enthalten. Diese begrenzen Energie und Strom für Eigensicherheit und dürfen niemals vertauscht werden.

Kann das Anschlusskabel verlängert werden?

Nein – im Ex-Bereich nicht. Das fest angeschlossene 2,5 m Kabel (geschirmt) ist bindend. Verlängerungen sind nur außerhalb der Ex-Zone bis 30 m zulässig, um Ex-Eigenschaften nicht zu gefährden.

Ist eine jährliche TÜV-Prüfung erforderlich?

Ja. Nach der Initialzertifizierung durch exida unterliegt der F3 Ex SIL1 einer jährlichen Fertigungsüberwachung durch TÜV NORD. Dies gewährleistet, dass alle produzierten Einheiten weiterhin SIL1-Standards erfüllen.

Welche besonderen Vorsichtsmaßnahmen gibt es bei Wasserstoff?

Bei Wasserstoff (H₂, Explosionsgruppe IIC) und anderen hochexplosiven Stoffen (Ethylenoxid, Kohlenmonoxid) dürfen nur funkenfreie Werkzeuge bei Montage/Wartung verwendet werden. Im Ex-freien Zustand arbeiten und keine scharfen Gegenstände einsetzen.
