In contrast to other pressure sensors, differential pressure sensors have a special position. They measure the differential pressure that arises between two pressure levels and thus capture how they are related to each other in a certain pressure area. The reliable measurement of the pressure difference takes place via the differential pressure sensors, which in turn put on the piezoresistive and capacitive measuring principle.
Especially when it comes to industrial requirements, the differential pressure measurement is ideal for capturing the exact flow of fluids and gases. Likewise, differential pressure transformers are designed for a variety of application areas, which concerns both pneumatics and hydraulics as well as process and process technology. They are used to monitor critical limit values, to regulate and control the pressure in machines and systems, regulate temperatures and much more. We have high -quality differential pressure transfer with our guaranteed quality 100 % "made in Germany".

Why choose different pressure sensors?
Different pressure sensors measure and monitor the difference between the pressure between two areas when it comes to flows of gases, steam and liquids. They not only record the pressure difference, but then convert it into an electronic signal, so that you can finally read an exact measurement result. This property brings you noteworthy advantages in many areas, which is why differential pressure transformers or pressure differential switches in industry or, for example, ventilation and air conditioning technology are used regularly.
The advantages of differential pressure sensors include:
- wide range of applications
- Precise pressure measurements between two points
- Ideal when it comes to sensitive measurements with low pressure differences
- Available in different sizes and configurations for individual requirements.

How do differential pressure sensors work?
In order to explain the functioning of differential pressure sensors, it is worth taking a look at the construction. Different pressure sensors bring two flexible membrane that are between two airtight chambers sealed and separate them. In addition, these are equipped with process connections. Depending on the pressure difference, the membrane sets on the chambers, depending on the pressure difference, in motion towards one side or the other. The pressures have opposite the membrane. Means, the pressure in a chamber drops or rises, the membrane of the differential pressure sensors moves to the lower pressure. If the pressure remains the same, it remains flat.
Since differential pressure sensors capture a direct comparison of two different pressures, it is irrelevant whether it is the same or different media.

Piezoresistive and capacitive differential pressure sensors
In order for you to get a measurement result in the end, the deformation, depending on the manner of the measuring principle that comes into play, is converted into an electrical output signal that represents the pressure difference. Piezoresistive differential pressure sensors and capacitive differential pressure sensors differ here.
In the former, the sensor reacts to the deformation of the membrane by pressure with a change in electrical resistance. Most of the time, very thin membranes are installed in a differential pressure switch or differential pressure transmitter. These types of differential pressure sensors are often found in medical technology or aerospace in particular. They have a very high precision at low pressure areas and, with their robust long -term stability, have a low sensitivity to temperature fluctuations. Because they are also very compact, they are suitable for environments that are difficult to access. However, there are a certain sensitivity to vibrations and must be calibrated regularly.
In contrast, a capacitive differential pressure sensor refers to the capacity between two conductive plates that are separated by the membrane as soon as the distance between them changes due to the pressure difference. The heating, ventilation and air conditioning technology benefits from this type of differential pressure sensors in recessing and regulating air pressure as well as industrial process control when it comes to monitoring pressure ratios in pipelines and tanks. Their advantage is a particularly high sensitivity, so that measured values in even low pressure areas can be recorded exactly. In addition, they are hardly influenced by temperature fluctuations and mechanical effects.
Printing transmitters are always used when you want to keep an eye on pressure, filling stalls or flow rate for machines and systems. They can measure both the absolute pressure, the differential pressure and the relative pressure. The absolute pressure refers to the zero pressure, which is located in a vacuum. The atmospheric pressure is usually around 1 bar (1,000 hpa), whereby the individual location conditions are important. Our pressure transvoons measure between -1 bar and 300 bar. By determining the differential pressure, you get the pressure between two absolute pressures. Relative pressure sensors measure the difference between surrounding pressure and measurement pressure.
A printing transfer for printing is equipped with different components such as pressure connections, sensitive pressure sensors, the pressure connections and the device electronics, to name just a few. The sensors in particular are of great importance because they absorb the pressure and convert into the corresponding output signal. The same meaning comes from the pressure connections, through which the pressure is directed to the sensor and the membranes, mostly ceramic membrane, as pressure -sensitive parts. However, the housing protects the entire electronics of the pressure transmitter from environmental influences and other loads.
Both the material and the processing and the quality of the software are decisive for us in production. So choose a model that corresponds to our high standards. Our products can be used even in specific requirements.
