Description

The FlowGuard® FT401 paddlewheel flow meter can be equipped with a local display unit. It is screwed onto the M12x1 (4-pin) connector on the FPW measuring unit. The display shows the value indicated by the meter's current output, either directly in mA or by a value converted to flow rate (m3/h) or flow velocity (m/s) according to the set flow units and the corresponding 4 ... 20 mA limit values.

In addition to the input connector, the display unit is also equipped with the output connector M12x1 (4-pin), which is intended for connecting the power supply and the current loop to a higher-level system. The connection diagram of the connector is identical to that of the meter itself, so that the device only forms a counterpart to the existing measuring circuit without any further modifications being necessary.
